Come on in!
Visit Fun With Drama Volume 1!

Welcome! There is something for all ages in Fun With Drama Volume 1 — language, fun math stuff, social skills, music and history. Do you want to have your students lip sinc the instruments in an orchestra? Well, “Summer Outing” is the play for you! Are your students having problems in the school yard? Try doing Readers’ Theatre with “New Kid at School”. They’ll learn about conflict resolution and peer mediation just right for their level. This is a “must see” for elementary school teachers!

Alphabet Adventures is an imaginative play which takes place in a classroom. During the night, the letters of the alphabet do amazing things! Enhance literacy skills for 5 to 7 year olds.

Dance of the Dominoes begins in a Toy Shop at midnight, when the toys are talking about how much money they are worth! Finally the dominoes do a dance, all of which builds math skills with one’s, tens and money for 6 to 8 year olds. Integrate and save time!

Frère Jacques is about the song “Frère Jacques”. It is imaginative and humorous even though Frère Jacques is a monk who has to be wakened to ring the church bells. 5 to 7 year olds love this theme! It integrates music and possibly French Second language.

Have a Great Day, Dad! This is a dialogue that children love to “ham up” a bit! Exaggeration is good fun! It also reminds children of social skills in the family and is a good discussion starter for 5 to 7 year olds.

New Kid at School begins in Italy and comes to Canada. It shows kids how conflict resolution can work for them in the classroom and the playground. It’s a great starter for training for peacemakers, conflict resolution and social skills for 8 to 11 year olds.

Pioneer Adventures takes place in an imaginary Quebec village in the early 1900’s — a great intro to history for 7 to 9 year olds with lots of music, dance and drama.

Remembrance Day starts off in the playground with 7 to 9 year olds wanting to play “war”. A great grandmother of one of the children comes to class to remember the war with the children at Remembrance Day. She has a super surprise draw that one of the children wins! Peter will never be the same again! Integrate values and history here.

Sur le pont d’Avignon is all about music and singing for 5 to 7 year olds. It is short and easy but it also integrates some history, geography and of course music in a fun way!

A Summer Outing is also about music. The Robert family decides to go for a picnic in the park and ends up at a summer evening open-air concert. The drama begins when the orchestra conductor breaks his baton! 8 to 10 year olds have fun with this.
